Black students in the Philadelphia School District were hurting; we were hurting. Marginalized communities were being neglected and both administrators and political systems allowed racism to permeate through the halls, beginning at 440 and, like wildfire, spreading into our public, charter, and special admit schools.

We must organize to end these oppressive systems, waiting for change to be made will only be at the expense of Black Students. These are problems that must be dismantled from the bottom up, for those at the top have built an insurmountable wall … but with your help, we will tear these walls down.

Join us in making tangible change.
